Completed in collaboration with Bayview Renovations, Lansell involved the complete renovation and reconfiguration of the ground floor of a two-storey family home. The project included significant layout changes designed to improve functionality, increase storage and create stronger connections between the home's living spaces.
Drawing inspiration from a coastal hamptons aesthetic, the design combines timeless detailing, custom joinery and soft blue accents to create a relaxed and welcoming family environment. Studio Alyza provided design development, space planning, custom joinery design and comprehensive documentation to guide the project from concept through to construction.

The clients sought to transform an outdated and compartmentalised ground floor into a cohesive and highly functional family home. A key objective was creating an open plan living and kitchen space that flowed, relocating the main bathroom to become an ensuite, add an additional powder room, while introducing significant storage solutions to support everyday living.
The design direction centred around a relaxed coastal Hamptons aesthetic, incorporating warm timber textures, crisp joinery detailing and subtle sky-blue accents throughout the home. Particular attention was given to creating bespoke joinery solutions that would enhance both functionality and visual appeal while maintaining a timeless and family-friendly design.

Documentation Snapshot
A detailed documentation package was developed to support pricing, approvals and construction throughout the renovation. This included floor plans, demolition plans, internal elevations, joinery documentation and cabinetry details across multiple areas of the home.
Custom joinery formed a significant component of the project, with detailed documentation prepared for the kitchen, laundry, butler's pantry, television unit, under-stair storage, master wardrobe and children's wardrobes. The documentation package ensured design intent was clearly communicated and provided builders, cabinet makers and trades with the information required to deliver the project accurately and efficiently.
